March 7 2014 -'the deadly wound healed'

At the stop this morning, all the victims of the yesterday's bullying were present. In anticipation of the customary action, they were all ready to surrender their fares, except me, I was determined not to let it happen again and to stand up. I remarked to  AC  that we must report this behavior to Ronald Jones as the Minister of Education championing the eradication of bullying, but she felt that stronger measures need to be taken and the police called. We all agreed that  that would be an extreme measure , and that some form of counselling would suffice for now.

The driver today was the same as yesterday and once more he was very warm in his greetings as we entered. Row2 was absent but 'row2 left' was there today so I opted to sit by her instead of the usual place in row 1 with Comp. I took the opportunity to introduce myself to 'row2 left' as a friend of a friend, and I discussed with her about her daughter coming over for lunch and how pleasant and respectful she was. She confirmed she heard that compliment often.

At the Long Bay corner, aqua marine was the first sight noticed. There was no mistaking  about who or what that was, and I said to 'row2 left' that her friend was about to get on board. As predicted at the next 2 stops, NC entered and whispered something to the driver, who began his ear to ear smiling again.

As Carmeta Fraser is famous for making popular,'food comes first', that was the first order of the day. Comp served her daily banana from the black plastic bag, and then the new' mint ritual'. NC got her mint and collected mine, but somehow the mint didn't get to me I had to demand it be passed over to collect my due. I asked row2 if she wanted one but she declined.

Sleepy head was back out today and  for the first time I noticed the full length of her hair, which reached right down to her waist, maybe Rapunzel would be a better description. She however did not take her regular seat in front of the first row and went straight down to the back of the bus.(I believe that NC put her off, in her new promoted position.)

At the Cutter's stop, BDD got on. Today was magical, BDD gave Comp and NC a beeming smile with glowing eyes and audibly said "good morning" and also greeted me and 'row2 left'. I could see NC nudging Comp to open the black plastic bag, and she collected a mint for BDD. About a minute later, she reached across the aisle and without saying a word passed a mint in BDD's direction. The mint was taken with a "Thank You" and I heard the sound of the wrapper rustling as she  ate it immediately. It was amazing the change in personality. I reached over and said to NC " the deadly wound has been healed" and she agreed but added "by a mint". This was partly true, the mint was only the vehicle, the true cause was kindness.

It was a light day for commuters and the bus was not full, however I noticed a difference. Instead of the quiet and silence, broken by the sounds of the traffic passing by. Today, I heard the voices of people interacting. In the back of the bus, I could make out the voices of Alt Comp and Ms Shrewsbury in conversation, and to my right Comp and NC talking with the occasional trademark outburst of laughter. The bus was changing and the posee was adding life to its cold and unconscious body.

At Oistins, BDD exited and said goodbye to everybody including a 'royal wave' to NC and Comp. ¡Ay, caramba!

At the Luigi sign stop, 'Row2 left' got out with 'Have a nice day!

At Rockley NC got out with a 'goodbye'.

At Hastings Towers Comp got out with a 'Hear ya later!'

At the  BLP office AC got with a 'Have a good day!'

At the terminal , I got out.

It must be a good day, everybody keeps saying so!!!!

¡Que tengas un excelente día!
